1960's Family Home Modernisation

The Brief
To fully renovate this extended family home. The house needed modernising and the layout has been extended and reconfigured to suit the needs of the new family. The project is ongoing and we are progressing into the final stages of the work later this year.
Project Overview
This project is an ongoing full house renovation that we have been working on. We worked alongside another building firm who had been employed to put up the large new extension, and as this was a previous client they reached out to us to complete the internal works as well some additional external modifications. The first job completed was installing the gorgeous large open plan family kitchen in rich, warm Cobham Blue. The client put together a design idea for a wall cabinetry custom design and we put this together using wall units and plinths.
Scope Of Works
Along with installing the new kitchen, downstairs we have built a boot room and downstairs WC, completed renovating the living room, including installation of a feature fireplace, an internal window and double glass doors into the kitchen and also added a new guest bedroom with ensuite. As well as this we built a new porch to the front door and completed external wooden cladding to the front and back of the house. Upstairs we have fully renovated three bedrooms and the family bathroom. Still to complete is the extension of a dormer in the bedroom, full renovation of this room along with reconfiguring it to include a dressing room and ensuite. Finally the hallway and staircase need to be updated to finish the complete makeover of the property.

Design Support
The client loved the green hexagonal tiles but wasn't sure whether a full wall would be too overwhelming. We created a selection of mood boards to demonstrate different ways they could be incorporated and gave the client the confidence to make a statement with them.
