Meet The Design & Build Team
We are Jake and Nickie, a husband and wife design and build collaboration. We pride ourselves on the bespoke, personal service we offer to our clients. We can promise this because we have a small, tight team, so you will always know the faces on site working on your job. And every once in a while, when we need a bit more help to keep a job ticking along we have a long list of trusted tradespeople that we can call upon to ensure that our projetcs are finished to the highest standard.
Jake
The business is Jakes passion, and it's his skills that will turn your dream into a reality. He started his training 20 years ago under the watchful eye of his dad who taught him (mostly) everything he knows, and particularly fell in love with carpentry. Then 10 years ago we decided to start an Independent business and J G Home improvements was born. Over the last decade it has grown from a business focused on kitchens and bathrooms to a well respected go to for all domestic building needs. And now it's expanding again to offer a specialised design service.
Nickie
Nickie provides the design inspiration, and occasional on site and admin support. After graduating with a degree in BA Hons Decorative Arts, and a notion to work as an Interior Designer, she actually started a career as a Handbag and Accessories Designer. 18 years later she started becoming more involved in J G Home and eventually it became evident that our family would be stronger if our work lives ran alongside each other. So she retrained and gained a diploma in Interior Design and for the past two years has been designing clients spaces while Jake brings the vision to life.
